Presentation skills confidence-boosting workshops

You may presume that presenting online gets easier over time, but I think it gets harder

Old habits creep in and we may unconsciously make less of an effort to engage our remote audiences.

I have just finished coaching this year’s cohort of future global leaders at The Adecco Group, many of whom have played out their early management careers online.

Plugging the communications gap

Having missed out on valuable years of experience influencing senior leaders in person, they were looking to build their skills in engaging C-Suite audiences ‘down the lens’ via video presentations, in which high-profile global group topics were being discussed.

Along with Rachel KS Consulting, we coached the 20-strong team with presentation skills designed to engage their panel online and deliver compelling story-led content that evoked an emotional response and drove clear action.

Presentation skills: not forgetting the brilliant basics

Despite sharing lots of valuable tips, it’s never a surprise how powerful the most fundamental advice is. The ‘brilliant basics’ that many of us forget and often take for granted.

One of those is around retaining eye contact with your audience - delivering your message straight down the lens (and not looking to wherever Teams had moved their thumbnail images!).

Here’s some of the feedback we received.

They gave us very useful and clear feedback and were very attentive and encouraging.
Interactive and insightful. We received some interesting tips that are important for virtual meetings and presentations.
I appreciated the tangible feedback that Karen and Rachel offered.

We look forward to coaching the next group as the International Future Leaders programme at Adecco grows alongside its alumni.
